Can you talk about your relationship with DoorDash? What kind of opportunity does delivery create for RawDaddy’s?

We’ve had a terrific relationship with DoorDash. Since our food is seasonal, local and organic, the menu can change drastically each day, and they’ve been quite accommodating to the changes. Many of our farmers’ market customers ask us when or how they can get RawDaddy’s during the week, so it’s filled an enormous hole in our business model to be able to deliver lunches. We‘re hoping to add dinner delivery soon!

What’s in store for RawDaddy’s? Advice for others trying to enter the vegan food space or food in general?

RawDaddy’s continues to spread the word about how important a plant-based diet is to our bodies, as well as, you know, the planet. Some people hear the word “raw” or “vegan” and they get immediately scared and think—“this is too complicated.” It’s really not. I used to be overweight myself, so I’ve been through that transition—it’s about thinking ahead and being organized. Keep it simple. Start by having a green drink every day—they’re so easy to make and they’re even available everywhere now. Also, start to eliminate as much processed starch and processed sugars from your diet. Even investing in a few key kitchen items (food processor, blender, dehydrator) can make a huge difference in the time it takes to prepare a raw vegan meal. Think of it as an adventure, and I promise you‘ll enjoy yourself!
